வடகிழக்கு பருவமழை தீவிரமடைந்த நிலையில் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் கனமழை கொட்டித் தீர்த்து வருகிறது.இடங்களில்

சென்னையில் மீண்டும் மழை, தன் கோரிக்கை முகத்தை காட்டத் தொடங்குகிறது. நேற்றிரவு முழுவதும் கொட்டித் தீர்த்த கனமழையால் பல இடங்களில் மழை நீர் புகுந்து, சென்னை மாநகர் தீவுப் போல காட்சியளிக்கிறது. பல பகுதிகளள் தண்ணீர் புகுந்தது. தாழ்வானப் பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் மக்கள் பாதுகாப்பான இடங்களுக்கு அப்புறப்படுத்தப்படும்னர்.
